PTPN Group Supports Feedstock Availability in the Implementation of Biofuels in Indonesia

As a form of support for the biofuels implementation program in Indonesia, Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero) represented by Leonardo Alexander Renatus Pane from the Business Strategy, ESG and Sustanability Division was invited as a resource person at the Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2023 event held on Thursday (7/9) at Park Hyatt Hotel, Jakarta.

PTPN voiced its commitment, initiatives and achievements in the production of bioethanol from molasses through PT Enero which is a subsidiary of PTPN X since 2013 with a plant capacity of 100 kL/day and the plan to build a biodiesel plant by PT INL with a capacity of 443 thousand tons of biodiesel / year.

PTPN through its Sugar Sub Holding (PT SGN) also fully supports the implementation of Presidential Regulation 40/2023 related to national sugar self-sufficiency in 2028 and national bioethanol production of 1.2 million kL by 2030.

ISF 2023 was organized by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) in collaboration and synergy with Pertamina with the Thematic Session: Cultivating a Greener Future: Fostering Capability and Sustainability with Alternative Fuels. PTPN Group is committed to continue developing its renewable energy business and contribute to the mandatory biodiesel and bioethanol program in Indonesia.
