Community Empowerment

The community is one of the key stakeholders for PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero). Their acceptance of the Company’s existence influences the long-term viability of the Company’s business operations. To gain community support, the Company implements a variety of policies and activities as part of its responsibility to them. One of them is by implementing the Social and Environmental Responsibility of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs TJSL) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). 

TJSL/CSR implementation, in general, is beneficial not only for fostering community independence and empowerment while reducing social inequality, but also for strengthening the carrying capacity of the environment. This is due to the fact that, in addition to the economic and social pillars, the program’s implementation also includes various activities related to the environmental pillar. The implementation of the three pillars has also been mapped, demonstrating PTPN III’s support for SDG achievement.
