Arifin Firdaus, in Jakarta, Thursday (15/06/2023).
Arifin said that sports have an important role in shaping character and improving the quality of life of the community. “Through this support, we hope to make a positive contribution and encourage the achievements of Indonesian athletes, especially in the aquatic branch,” he added.
Arifin hopes that PTPN Group’s participation in the 2023 Indonesian Aquatic Festival will encourage the spirit of sports, improve athletes’ achievements, and strengthen Indonesia’s position as a sports power in the world. “Of course, we as SOEs will continue to support the improvement of the quality of national sports for the progress of the nation,” he said.
The 2023 Indonesian Aquatic Festival is a platform for athletes, coaches, and aquatic sports enthusiasts from all over Indonesia. The event includes various competitions, performances, and activities related to aquatics, such as swimming, beautiful jumping, water polo, and beautiful swimming.
A total of 1,500 participants took part in the festival, which is also a qualifying round for the 2024 PON to be held in Aceh – North Sumatra (Sumut). The event was officially opened by PB PRSI Chairman Anindya Bakrie, who was also attended by, among others, Indonesian NOC Executive Committee Arlan Perkasa Lukman, Deputy Head of Binpres KONI Pusat Lucki Afari, VP CSR Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero) Denri Kurniawan, and Marketing Division Head of BTN Bank Farida Andriani.
