Yogyakarta, March 15, 2023, the participants arrived in Yogyakarta to start the Corporate Knowledge Learning stage which is the first stage of the long series of Onboarding PLANT Program for the next one year. Participants consisted of 172 people from internal, external, and talent scouting for eight entities namely PTPN II, PTPN III (Persero), PTPN IV, PTPN V, PTPN VI, PTPN VII, PTPN XIII, and PT LPP Agro Nusantara. The activity was officially opened by the Director of PT LPP Agro Nusantara, Pranoto Hadi Raharjo, as well as the handover of participants to the 474th Air Defense Detachment Yogyakarta on March 16, 2023 for five-day state defense education. Participants were equipped with various kinds of knowledge and understanding of discipline, cooperation, solidarity, hard work, and so on by the trainers.
After undergoing state defense education, participants take part in learning activities at PT LPP Agro Nusantara. This learning is designed with measurable plans and goals, where each material is preceded by a pretest and ends with a posttest and is equipped with various kinds of individual and group assignments. In this learning, participants are expected to understand the company’s business processes, have the ability and strong mental attitude as a planter, and also understand the company’s cultural values. The materials presented include: virtual visit, leadership, character building, company direction and policy, and corporate value. The speakers who delivered the material were the subject matter experts (SME) of PT LPP Agro Nusantara who were experienced in their fields and the directors and leaders of PTPN III (Persero).
President Director of PTPN III (Persero) Mohammad Abdul Ghani also attended virtually via Zoom on March 29, 2023 to convey the direction and policy of the company. He delivered a glimpse of the company profile, company performance, attitudes and responsibilities of planters, and expectations to participants who are prospective leadership employees. The participants were very enthusiastic in asking various things directly to the managing director. PTPN III (Persero) Production and Development Director Mahmudi also filled in the material, namely regarding the direction and operational policies of oil palm, rubber, and various plants.
The Corporate Knowledge Learning stage ended with the delivery of HR directions and policies by the HR Director of PTPN III (Persero), which in this case was represented by Dian Yanuar Roffana. He said that planters must have professional skills so that they can nurture other employees, have good teamwork and collaboration skills, be able to manage emotions, be able to map important and critical work, and be flexible both in getting along and in accepting change. The participants who are prospective leaders are also expected to have high enthusiasm, motivation, and optimism, as well as having qualified problem solving skills.
The closing of the Corporate Knowledge Learning stage on April 1, 2023 was through the process of inauguration of participants by Pugar Indriawan as SEVP Operation of PT LPP Agro Nusantara, HR Director of PTPN III (Persero) represented by Dian Yanuar Roffana, and also the Commander of the 474th Air Defense Detachment Yogyakarta Lieutenant Colonel Agung Setyo Yuniarto. After this stage, participants returned to their respective entities to undergo the next learning stages, namely field learning, project assignment, and job orientation.
