PTPN III (Persero) Holding Perkebunan Nusantara Collaborates with IPB to Build a Research Laboratory

Encouraging innovation to optimize the potential of the palm oil industry in Indonesia, Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero) together with the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) inaugurated the construction of a Mini Palm Oil Processing Research Laboratory. This laboratory will be useful as a means of education to research on palm oil processing in Jonggol, Bogor, West Java.

Armed with long experience managing palm oil plantations and processing, PTPN Group is committed to encouraging the development of a small cooking oil industry, “PTPN is ready to help IPB to develop a small cooking oil industry model and cooperate with the Palm Oil Research Center, as a research unit managed by PT Prestasi Perkebunan Nusantara , one of our subsidiaries,” said the Managing Director of Nusantara Plantation Holding, Mohammad Abdul Ghani during the inauguration of the construction of the Mini Palm Oil Processing Research Laboratory on Thursday (16/03).

This program is a form of concern for Holding Perkebunan Nusantara for agricultural higher education, especially in encouraging innovation in downstream industries such as CPO and red palm oil.
Through research and internships in the field of palm oil processing, it is hoped that graduates from agricultural experts who are professional in cultivation technology will be born.
The inauguration of the Mini Palm Oil Processing Research Laboratory was attended by the Chancellor of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Prof. Arif Satria, Deputy Chancellor, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, IPB Director, PTPN III (Persero) Board of Directors staff, representatives of PT RPN, as well as IPB lecturers and students.
